What is AI, and how can we use it to enhance our business or job?


As shown in the top image, ChatGPT (a generative AI) reached 100 million users in less than a year, unlike other technologies such as Instagram, Facebook, or Netflix, which took more time to reach the same milestone. The graph indicates that people are increasingly interested in understanding AI and how it can enhance productivity.




According to an MIT survey, 62% of respondents believe that AI poses a threat to their business over the next five years. However, 78% view generative AI as a competitive advantage rather than a threat. If we leverage it effectively, it could present significant opportunities for business growth.


What is Artificial Intelligence?

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a algorithms built to process information and provides decisions, results, forecasts and answer. It including machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing. Beside that AI also enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence and problem solving capabilites

Process of Machine Learning


  • Dataset used to train model. The model include features and labels
  • Taking in the features inputs, find patterns and formula that predicts  the labels or outputs during training
  •  Once trained, algorithms take new data and recognize patterns through the formula and make predictions





What is Artificial Neural Network (ANN)?



  • ANN are trained using data sets; weights are adjusted as part of its learning
  • Inspired by the structure and function of the human brain
  • Composed of interconnected nodes, or "neurons," that can learn to perform tasks by analyzing patterns in data.


Key Components:

  • Layers: Input, ‘hidden’ layers, Output
  • Nodes: Processing units that apply a transformation to inputs
  • Connections: Links nodes with a weight that determines its ‘strength’


What is Generative AI ?

  • A subset of deep learning (AI) that generates and creates content
  • Focused on creating new data in comparison to analyzing existing datasets for predictions without retraining
  •  Generative models are algorithms that generates new data based on patterns learnt from existing data



Example of tasks that Generative AI (Gen AI) can perform:


  • Summarization of documents, manuals, call transcripts, etc
  • Classification of customer sentiments from social media feeds
  • Creation of reports from raw data, for e.g.generating top customer complaints from the call transcripts
  • Discovery of previously hidden relationships between data points for e.g.discovering root causes from log files, business health of a company from earnings reports, quarterly call transcripts, news analysts
  • Chatbots Agents

What is the Business value of Gen AI?

Remove Background with GIMP

 Normally, you would use online tools to remove a background, but here is an alternative method you can use to remove the background from your image using GIMP. You can download the GIMP software from the Microsoft Store. The logo looks like the one in the image below. Before removing the background, make sure the alpha channel is enabled. You can find this on the right-hand side then right-click on your image to see the option. 1. Fuzzy Select These tools allow you to select the area you want to remove, as shown in the image below. After making your selection, press the Delete button to remove the background. 2.Select By Color These tools can be used to remove your background based on color.
